Dr. J. Robert (Bobby) Silver is an otolaryngologist who specializes in comprehensive adult and pediatric ENT care in Matthews, NC. Although he practices all aspects of ENT, he especially enjoys taking care of children as well as treating nasal, sinus and allergy problems. He grew up in Charlotte and was actually a patient of Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat as a child. He has practiced in our Matthews office since 1994. Dr. Silver received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. His General Surgery internship and Otolaryngology residency were completed at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the North Carolina Medical Society. He has served as Chief of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Matthews Medical Center for many years. Dr. Silver has been named one of Charlotte’s Top Doctors by Charlotte Magazine on multiple occasions and is currently listed in “Best Doctors in America”. When he is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and three daughters as well as cheering for the Carolina Panthers and UNC Tar Heels.
