The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra

Music. Laughter. Chatter. Whatever it is, you love listening to it. Maybe your ears are fine, or maybe you just got hearing aids and can finally hear again. Either way, you want to go out and listen to something new. But what should you do? Below are five things you can hear in the Charlotte region.

Opera Carolina

Opera Carolina puts together impressive performances throughout the year, and visitors to the Belk Theatre – which has T-coil connectivity for those whose hearing aids have that technology – will be treated to some of the most impressive operatic voices in the Carolinas.

Charlotte Symphony Orchestra

With a wide variety of performances for people of all ages, the Charlotte Symphony plays modern and classical music pieces, as well as everything in between. With performances at venues around Charlotte, finding a show near you is easy.

Rock, country, and more

If going to a concert is more your speed than the opera or the symphony, Charlotte has plenty for you, too. From the PNC Music Pavilion to the Fillmore Charlotte to the outdoor concerts at one of the city’s many parks, the Queen City is a great place to come to listen to your favorite type of music with fans from all over the region.

Comedy shows

Who doesn’t love to laugh? The Comedy Zone and the Charlotte Comedy Theater are great places to hear stand-up and improv comedy, as well as the laughter of your fellow audience members.

Take a City Tour

If you’re new to Charlotte or just want to learn more about the city you’ve lived in or near for a while, you can take one of many different historical tours around the city. From bus rides to Segway tours, from general history to a specialized topic, there is plenty to hear about the historical topics that interest you.

Remember, some of these venues can get very loud, so make sure to wear proper hearing protection. We want your ears to stay as healthy as possible while you enjoy listening to everything Charlotte has to offer.
