CEENTA has been a proud partner of Lions Services, and both organizations celebrated this union during the CEENTAcares Classic Golf Tournament at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation on September 29, 2023.
CEENTAcares is is the charitable arm of our practice which raises money for nonprofit organizations that make a difference in the community and corresponds with CEENTA’s healthcare mission. Our 2023 partner, Lions Services, provides vocational rehabilitation and employment opportunities to individuals who are blind or visually impaired in addition to eye care for those within the community who need financial assistance.
Over $30,000 has been raised so far for the 501(c)(3) organization, including money raised from player sign-ups, sponsorships from local and regional businesses, and fundraising ventures at CEENTA's offices. These opportunities are still ongoing through ticket raffles for the Charlotte Checkers, Charlotte Hornets, and Carolina Panthers along with denim jeans days.
Over 60 players were in attendance for the tournament, including CEENTA physicians Christopher T. Jones, MD, FACS, Ross Udoff, MD, Chad Kessler, MD, Christopher Tebbit, MD, Jeff Stetler, MD, and Daniel Morrison, MD. SEGRA finished first as a foursome in the tournament followed by Keach Construction.
Previous CEENTAcares partnerships have included organizations such as The CARE Project, Philips Academy, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
