Dr. Katherine Szczepkowski was raised in Charlotte, NC. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Appalachian State University and continued her education at East Carolina University to earn her doctorate in audiology. Throughout her graduate studies, Dr. Szczepkowski worked with adult and pediatric populations. She gained experience at clinics across North Carolina including Durham Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Duke Otolaryngology, and East Carolina Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic. She completed her fourth-year audiology fellowship at Connecticut Children’s hospital in Hartford, CT. Dr. Szczepkowski also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has licensure in both North and South Carolina.
Dr. Szczepkowski’s interest in audiology began after doing clinical observations at CEENTA during her holiday breaks in college. Her special interests include pediatric diagnostics, rehabilitation, newborn hearing evaluations, and electrophysiologic testing.
Dr. Szczepkowski is excited to return to NC and provide hearing healthcare to the Charlotte community. When she is not working, Dr. Szczepkowski enjoys spending time with her family, and going to the dog park with her dog.
