Lukas Dumberger, MD

Biography

Dr. Lukas Dumberger is an Otolaryngologist who specializes in head and neck cancer and microvascular reconstructive surgery in Charlotte, NC. Beyond general Otolaryngology, his clinical interests include cancers of the skin, oral cavity, oropharynx, paranasal sinuses, skull base, thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary glands. In addition, Dr. Dumberger performs head and neck reconstructive surgery to restore appearance and function after cancer removal, as well as minimally invasive trans oral robotic surgery (TORS) for cancers of the larynx, mouth and throat.

After growing up in Raleigh, NC, Dr. Dumberger received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and continued his post graduate education earning his medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine . He later completed his residency in Otolaryngology and his fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Dumberger is also a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology, American Head and Neck Society, a contributor to numerous publications and presentations in the field of otolaryngology, and fluent in both German and Spanish.

Outside of the office Dr. Dumberger enjoys playing tennis, cooking, hiking, camping, and traveling with his wife.
