Dr. Neela Rao is a functional and cosmetic facial plastic surgery specialist. Her specialty areas include surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation including facelifts, blepharoplasty, eyebrow lift, laser skin resurfacing, Botox, and dermal fillers. She also performs aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, nasal septal perforation repair, facial reconstruction, and scar revision.
Dr. Rao graduated with honors from the University of Michigan. She earned her doctorate with honors from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Her Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency was at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Rao completed additional subspecialty training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Rao has published several research articles and textbook chapters in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In addition, Dr. Rao has taken part in numerous marathon fundraisers and humanitarian outreach programs in the United States, Kenya, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.
