Drs. Alexandra “Ola” Pietraszkiewicz, MD, and Matthew Wilde, MD joining CEENTA

CEENTA is pleased to announce the addition of two physicians to our practice effective September 10, 2024: Alexandra “Ola” Pietraszkiewicz, MD, and Matthew Wilde, MD.

Dr. Pietraszkiewicz is a fellowship-trained neuro-ophthalmologist with additional focus on eye conditions stemming from the nervous system, cataract surgery, glaucoma care, and diabetic eye care. Graduating from Georgetown University with a degree in human science, Dr. Pietraszkiewicz received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. After completing her internship and ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, she later finished her fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Utah.

As a fellowship-trained retina specialist, Dr. Wilde’s clinical interests include in the treatment of medical and surgical retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachments, secondary intraocular lens placements, macular holes and epiretinal membranes. After graduating summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in exercise science, Dr. Wilde earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He later completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida and his fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the Retina & Vitreous of Texas in Houston.

“I am excited to be joining CEENTA because of the patient-oriented philosophy of the organization,” Dr. Pietraszkiewicz said. “One of the things I value most about being a doctor is talking to patients, getting to know them, and serving them in whatever capacity they need.”

“Good healthcare is built on good teamwork, and both are found here at CEENTA,” Dr. Wilde said. “We have incredible doctors in all areas of eye and ENT care, and having everyone in the same group allows for easier communication and better collaboration to treat patients to the highest standard."

Dr. Pietraszkiewicz will see patients at our Belmont and Pineville offices and Dr. Wilde will provide his services at our SouthPark, Blakeney, and Pineville locations. To make an appointment with these physicians, patients can call 704-295-3000.
