Eugene Robinson: Well this morning in our Health Spotlight, we're joined by folks from CEENTA. Andrea Leza, she's a talent acquisition partner for CEENTA, and Megan Rendleman,a certified medical assistant assistant at SouthPark. Hello, and welcome to the show. And we need to talk about CEENTA today. How you guys doing?Megan Rendleman: Good, how are you?Eugene: Okay, I'm gonna start with this. What has been the best thing - and why has it been the best thing - in working at CEENTA?And this is for both of you guys.Megan: Working at CEENTA, and the best thing, is to provide care for our patients. Just to provide that one-on-one care, being able to create a bond.Eugene: Yeah, I mean you're creating a bond because you're in there with them and this is almost a safe place for them.Megan: Right, correct.Eugene: Okay, and what about you?Andrea Leza: Well this was my first position in the Charlotte area, so just seeing how well we treat our patients and then how well our employees like their job was a really good thing for me to learn. I was like okay I'm comfortable this is the place I want to be.Eugene: Okay, so why did you want to work for CEENTA?Megan: I came from a home health care and a hospital background, so I'm able to combine both of those into one, and to have that one-on-one care with patients and to create a bond and a safe place for them and patient care as well.
Eugene: I mean you talking about the patient care and you create a bond, I mean you must be a really passionate person and actually love people.Megan: Yes, I do.Eugene: Yeah, and so tell me how that love for people extends into working with CEENTA.Megan: Because I'm able to you just listen, there's the main thing. And just to provide care, make sure they're comfortable, to let them know when they come to CEENTA they matter.Eugene: So as a talent acquisition person here, why is CEENTA a great place to work?Andrea: Well, we are a little bit different from home health aid, also hospitals. We do have a multispecialty clinic, and we have 18 different locations, so our schedules are more similar to the standard business schedule. So it allows our clinicians not to have to work long afternoon hours or weekend hours and it does provide that work-life balance that people in healthcare really, really appreciate.Eugene: And so people appreciate the health-life balance too because you don't want to get overworked because not only overworks the clinicians but it also overworks the patients.Andrea: Yes. Correct, correct so this does provide that ability for them to be able to reconnect with their families, have their weekend time, get centered and go back to work and provide that excellent care.Eugene: Okay, if somebody wanted to start a career with CEENTA, what must they do?Andrea: So they have to go into our website, we do have a careers website: www.ceenta.com/careers. We do put all our new opportunities. We also do advertise any upcoming hiring events that may be coming up, and then we do have an apprenticeship program as well. So if someone does want to go into healthare that may be a great first step for them.Eugene: And what would you say to someone who wants to go ahead and go into healthcare, because you're already working there. What would you say to that person?Megan: Come on and join CEENTA. Join our team. If you love and have passion for patients we're glad to have you on.Eugene: Alright, it's ceenta.com/careers. That's the website that you want to check out indeed. Thank you very much for being here.Andrea: You're welcome. Thank you, thank you.
