The holidays are gearing up, and our CEENTA physicians are ready to enjoy this season with their friends, families, and loved ones. They also know that the holidays can be a great time to enhance your skin care habits, especially during the cold weather seasons. Our facial plastics specialists gave us a peak into some of their holiday and skin care plans.
Families can have traditions that pass down from generation to generation or are created in the spur of the moment. Dr. Susan Yanik, an ENT and facial plastics specialist from our Concord, Mooresville, and Salisbury offices, likes to spend the holidays with her sisters.
Sometimes, these traditions can be exhilarating. Dr. F.P. Langford from our Concord office takes a different approach to unwinding at the end of the year. “I enjoy wake surfing on Lake Norman on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.”
Aside from catching waves and catching up with old friends, the holidays can be ideal for taking a new approach to skin care. Our oculoplastics specialist, Dr. Catherine Cuite from our SouthPark office, goes into further detail. “During the winter holidays skin will be dryer and more prone to redness. You need to be gentler with it in the cold. You could ease off on retinols and keep your skin hydrated with products rich in hyaluronic acid such as SkinMedica's HA5. This luxurious moisture-rich product can make even ski-slope burned skin smooth and soft.”
Not sure what presents to buy this year? CEENTA’s facial plastics specialists can help, as they each have their own recommendations for skin care products. Dr. Yanik suggests another great brand: Revision. “I plan on giving my sisters and mom skin care from Revision, including the Revox Line Relaxer and Intellishade,” remarked Dr. Yanik.
Dr. Cuite also recommends Revision’s line, saying, “Everyone needs a fantastic cleanser! Revision Papaya Enzyme and Revision Brightening Face Wash have enzymes and gentle acids to deeply clean pores without drying. The price point is so great you can put one in everyone's stocking!”
A great meal can make the holidays even better, and our providers have tasty recommendations to share. Some physicians enjoy a well-rounded layout of honey baked ham, green bean casserole, and cranberries while Dr. Yanik is excited to perfect her creme brûlée recipe this year.
This holiday season, keep yourself happy and healthy with the facial plastics services at CEENTA. From cosmetic fillers to rhinoplasty to skin care products like Obagi and Revision and more, our fellowship-trained facial surgeons can give you one gift this year: enjoying the real you. Schedule your next appointment with a CEENTA facial plastics specialist today, and happy holidays!
